Name: Slipstream (AKA 'The Female Clone')
From: Transformers Animated

Appearance:
She follows the same pattern as Starscream and his other clones, with her color scheme being primarily purple with teal accents. She's also of a lither frame, with a more slender overall build than the others, especially in the limbs.

Age: Although she's only been online for a few months (a year, maximum), she has the mind of an adult Cybertronian, roughly mid-to-late twenties by human standards.

Gender: Female

Personality: Slipstream is the hardest of the known Starscream clones to figure out. While the others appear to be exaggerated aspects of the original's own personality, Slipstream seems to be more of a counterpoint to Starscream himself. She speaks directly and often insultingly, her remarks biting and sarcastic, and has a bit of an angry streak. Despite these 'flaws,' however, she appears to be observant and intelligent, and also has a knack for tactical thinking, the only one of her fellow clones to show this skill in the heat of combat.

While most of the clones have a poor opinion of Starscream himself, Slipstream seems to be the most open about it, ready to cut down anything he says if she can back it up. Despite seemingly 'hating' him, she's not above recognizing him as a possible resource.

Backstory: Slipstream was originally a blank Autobot protoform, stolen by the bounty hunter Lockdown and delivered to Megatron as a resource for additional soldiers. When his flagship crashed, Starscream kept the location as secret as possible, and utilized the resources for himself, eventually using the protoforms as his own warriors. By using fragments of the AllSpark to give them life, he molded them after his own frame, resulting in the creation of five 'Starscream Clones.' When they all came on line, Slipstream was the first to point out that they were all aspects of Starscream's personality, suggesting he 'don't ask' when he expressed curiosity about what characteristic she represented.

Slipstream flew alongside Starscream and the other clones to attack Megatron, who was attempting to create a space bridge and command his forces for galactic conquest. During the battle, Slipstream never passed an opportunity to criticize or insult Starscream, but also proved herself capable, holding her own against both Autobot and Decepticon forces while managing to outmaneuver and incapacitate Bulkhead, the largest and strongest of the Autobots. When Megatron bested Starscream in combat, she got in one final jab before offering her services to Megatron, deeming him a more apt leader. He ordered her and the remaining clones into battle against the Autobot superweapon Omega Supreme, with Slipstream pointing out a vulnerable weak point and directing fire towards it. Nonetheless, she and her fellow clones were blown away by Omega Supreme's attacks, scattering to parts unknown.

During this time, Slipstream evaded Autobot forces, remaining in some contact with the Decepticons still on Earth. She took up the name 'Slipstream' to assert herself as an individual, and maintained a low profile, keeping herself stocked in fuel as necessary without drawing too much attention to her activities. When Megatron's forces began planning more assaults, she was slow to come out of hiding, inadvertantly avoiding some failed operations that resulted in the capture of many Decepticons, her fellow clones among them. As a result, she began to harbor resentment over both Megatron and Starscream for abandoning their troops to the Autobots.

Slipstream would reappear in Detroit not long before the final battle with Megatron, although she herself avoided direct combat. Her attention was on Optimus Prime, who at the time was testing a new jetpack upgrade. From extreme distance, it appeared to her that Starscream had returned to Earth, and she was ready to exact revenge. Taking after him, she opened fire with a vicious salvo, scoring a direct hit that sent the Autobot crashing to the river. However, she realized that her target was not Starscream, and fled the scene rather than finishing the job.

She would remain undetected through the ensuing battle, only to reappear after the smoke had cleared. Starscream had been deactivated, the AllSpark fragment that had kept him alive finally being removed. When Slipstream found his body, she took it away from the battlefield, with the intent of using her own AllSpark fragment to revive it... [NOTE: This scene was storyboarded, but cut from the final episode for time.]

Moral Standing: Neutral Evil - Slipstream has been shown to switch her allegiance if it's beneficial to her, but does not seem to act without reason. There's no doubting that she's evil, but her degree of villainy is hard to pinpoint.

Dreams: Her goals seem to be self-preservation and an enjoyment of combat, perhaps leading to having her skills recognized by both her peers and superiors. Her aim is to live long and free, and enjoy herself along the way, even if others get hurt in the process.

Fears: Slipstream fears capture and/or destruction, and possibly abandonment on some level. She seems to hate Starscream for more than just being incompetant, and this could be a reasonable explanation (he did create her, after all). That fear doesn't seem to control many of her actions, but can flare up occasionally (and angrily).

Extra: Slipstream is a large Cybetronian, capable of transforming into a fictional jet (combining aspects of the Su-47 (S-37) Berkut Experimental Fighter and the VF-19 "Alpha One"; Starscream himself refers to it as a Harrier-style jet). As such, she is rather large, standing between thirty and fourty feet tall in robot mode.

As far as her weaponry and abilities, Slipstream seems to be the least different from Starscream. However, she appears to be very apt with what she has at her disposal, utilizing her null rays in tandem with her speed and maneuverability to keep herself a threat in the sky. It's currently unknown if she will develop any further powers.

Unlike many Cybertronians, Slipstream does not have a spark, instead powered by a fragment of the AllSpark in her chest. As a result, she cannot be off-lined by normal means, as the AllSpark will cause her to recuperate from most any damage. The only known way to do so would be to remove the AllSpark fragment from her completely (as was done to her progenitor). Additionally, she can break off smaller fragments to power other Cybertronians, as was done to create her.
